Reviewing a Pupil's Progress

To access this feature from the pupils list. See Managing My Pupils - List Actions for more details.

Menu > Pupils > Item Actions > View Pupil Progress Summary

You can also access this feature by choosing the 'View & Record Pupil Progress' option from the quick view of the booked lesson you want to record progress. For help accessing the diary quick view see Changing & Updating Lessons.

The layout of the popup is different for the Desktop & Mobile interfaces, but the functionality remains the same.

Overview 

This tab provides a summary of the current progress for a pupil, it includes the latest progress recorded for the pupil for all syllabus topics.

Desktop

1. Legend -  A key to progress ratings.
2. Search -  search for syllabus topics by name. The list will change as you type.
3. Rating Filter - allows you to show all topics, only those that have been covered (at least 1 star) or only those that have not been covered. Useful to determine topics you still need to cover.
4. Syllabus Item, Pupil is Independent  - a topic in which the pupil has gained full competency.
5. Syllabus Item, Pupil is Being Prompted  - a topic in which the pupil has gained partial competency.
6. Syllabus Item, Not Covered  - a topic not covered yet.
7. List Page Information - The list only shows a maximum of 10 items at a time. To move back and forward between pages you can use the Prev/Next links here.

Mobile

1. Legend -  A key to progress ratings.
2. Search -  search for syllabus topics by name. Enter your search terms and tap the spyglass button to filter the list.
3. Syllabus Item, Pupil is Independent  - an topic in which the pupil has gained full competency.
4. Filter & Sorting Menu - click for filter and sorting options. See Filters & Sorting for more information.
5. List Page Information - The list only shows a maximum of 10 items at a time. To move back and forward between pages you can use the Prev/Next links here.

Filters & Sorting

• Rating Filter - allows you to show all topics, only those that have been covered (at least 1 star) or only those that have not been covered. Useful to determine topics you still need to cover.
• Sorting - Select which field you wish to sort by. Select a direction, ascending or descending.

Viewing History 

This tab provides a log of progress recorded for this pupil:

The log supports 'infinite scrolling'. That is it will load 20 log entries at a time, with older entries being loaded as you scroll down the page. Once there are no more log entries it will stop. You can tell if there is more data available by the presence of the 'Scroll down to load more data'  text below the oldest entry.

Viewing Lesson Reviews

This tab provides a list of the pupil's lesson reviews, both those requested but not completed and those completed. For more details regarding lesson reviews see Recording Progress After a Lesson - Requesting Feedback from Pupils.

Desktop

1. Search - search for items by name. The list will change as you type.
2. Completion Filter - allows you to show all reviews, only those that have been completed by the pupil or only those that have been requested but not completed.
3. Review Item, Completed - a review completed by the pupil. Click to view. See Viewing for more details.
4. Review Item, Requested but Not Completed - a review requested, but not yet  completed by the pupil. Click to view. See Viewing for more details.

Viewing a Review

Viewing Statistics 

Within the 'Statistics' tab you can view some simple statistics to give insight into your pupil's progress over a period of time.

The statistics available include:

• Topic Progress Over Time - A graph showing progress for a selected topic from the date the topic was introduced until the latest progress update for the topic.

The layout of the statistics is different for the Desktop & Mobile interfaces, but the functionality remains the same.

You can change the date range for which statistics are shown using the date filters. Changing this will automatically update the statistics. The "Preset Periods" button shows a popup allowing selection of common date ranges, such as "Last Month" and "This Week".

You can use the Syllabus Topic drop down to change the topic shown on the progress over time graph
