Lesson History & Availability

To access this information choose the 'Lessons & Availability' option for a pupil in the pupil list. For help accessing the pupil list see Managing Your Pupils.

Summary

This view provides a brief summary of the pupil's current lesson situation.

This includes details of lessons/hours booked (past & future) & lessons cancelled.

The layout of the summary view is different for the Desktop & Mobile interfaces, but the functionality remains the same.

Lessons

Shows a complete list of all lessons booked for a pupil, including cancelled lessons.

  1. Future/Historic Filter - Can be used to show all lessons, only historic (past) lessons or only future lessons. Useful when trying to track down a specific lesson booking.
  2. Column Headers - some can be clicked to sort the list based on the contents of the column.
  3. Lesson Item - a lesson. Shows times, duration, type, pick up and last changed date amongst other data. Click this row to view/change the lesson.
  4. Progress Status Column - shows if progress has been recorded for a lesson. See Recording & Tracking Progress for more details.
  5. Payment Status Column - shows if full, part or no payment has been made for a lesson. Also indicates if a lesson has been cancelled. See Recording & Tracking Payments for more details.
  6. List Page Information - The list only shows a maximum of 10 items at a time. To move back and forward between pages you can use the Prev/Next links here.

This simple list provides a place to record theory test bookings, results, dates and theory test certificate numbers.

Recording a Theory Test

To record a new theory test click/tap the 'New' button. See Theory Tests for more details.

  1. Pupil - the pupil you are recording the test result or booking for.
  2. Test Date - the date the test was taken or is booked for.
  3. The Test Result. Use 'Not Taken' for future bookings.
  4. Certificate Number (optional) - use to record the certificate number issued when a test is passed. Useful for accurate record keeping and when performing administrative tasks.
  5. Notes (optional) - enter any relevant notes; for example your pupil's comments or observations about the test.

Changing a Theory Test

This popup is almost identical in behaviour to that used when recording a theory test result. See Recording a Theory Test for details.

Availability

This view gives you an idea of when a pupil may be available for lesson bookings. It is currently only used for the 'Offer a Slot' feature, to automatically find pupils most likely to accept a given slot. See Offering Empty Slots to Pupils for details.

Only the pupil can change this information. You should encourage the pupil to fill in this information if you intend to make use of the 'Offer a Slot' featureSee the Pupil Documentation for an insight in to what they can see and do.

The layout of the availability view is different for the Desktop & Mobile interfaces, but the information remains the same.

  1. Week Commencing Selection - you can change the week for which availability is shown. Defaults to the current week. The "Preset Periods" button shows a popup allowing selection of common date ranges, such as "Last Week" and "This Week".
  2. Pupil Availability - this block show that the pupil has indicated they are normally available for lessons at these times.
